What the agents can and can't do.
You are putting your name on this, so here is what stands behind it, in plain words. Four things we can state as fact today, and what we do not claim.
An agent can
- Draft email replies to leads and customers, for a person to approve.
- Draft site content, review replies and listing updates, for a person to approve.
- Draft estimates, invoices and payment reminders, for a person to check and send.
- Apply approved changes to a connected WordPress site.
- Check a site every day and report what they find.
No agent can
- Send a text message, or make or answer a call.
- Take a payment, or send an invoice or an estimate to a customer.
- Publish a page or a post without a person's approval.
- Post to a business listing or a review site.
- Act outside their scope, or for a client whose plan does not include them.
The Crew Chief directs the crew and has no powers of its own: it cannot send or publish anything itself. What each agent does →
Four things we can state as fact.
- One
Approval first
A new client starts with every agent drafting and a person approving before anything reaches a customer.
Letting an agent do more on its own is a change we make on request, agent by agent. Some work is always held for a person whatever the setting: estimates, invoices, and any message that mentions a safety hazard.
- Two
Each agent has a defined scope
An agent that tries something outside its scope is refused, and the refusal is recorded.
The scope is checked whenever an agent submits work, before it is queued or sent.
- Three
Each client's customer records are kept separate
One client cannot see another client's customer records.
In our customer database, the database itself enforces that on every query. Records held in our other store are confined by access rules to each client's own account, and by our own code where those rules do not reach.
- Four
Our access keys are not in our code
The API keys and secrets we use to reach outside services, such as email and payments, are held in a managed secret store, not in our code.
What we do not claim.
We hold no outside audit or accreditation. If your client needs something specific before they sign, ask us and we will tell you plainly whether we do it.
